Akhtar is among 17 Pakistani YouTube channels blocked by the Indian government for allegedly promoting provocative, communally sensitive, and misleading narratives against India and its security forces.
The action was taken on the recommendation of the Ministry of Home Affairs in the interest of national security. Now, searching for Akhtar’s channel in India displays a message citing government orders. Akhtar, a prominent voice in Pakistan cricket with a significant Indian viewership, joins a list of banned platforms that includes major Pakistani media outlets like Dawn News, Geo News, ARY News, and BOL News, among others.
