St. John’s season ended in brutal fashion.
The Johnnies lost, 75-66, to Arkansas in the second round, way earlier than what they expected after what was previously a magical season.
They struggled mightily on offense, shooting a woeful 28 percent from the field and 9.1 percent from 3-point range in the loss.
Star RJ Luis, who was the Big East Player of the Year and a Second Team All-American, had just nine points on 3-for-17 shooting from the field along with 0-for-3 from 3-point range.
He was also benched down the stretch.
After so much hype, St. John’s is St. Gone.
