On the evening of June 9 at the Fredonia High School Academic Awards Presentation, Fredonia Memorial Post 59 outgoing Commander Denise Puskar presented a certificate of recognition to Fredonia Senior Andrew Cowan. Andrew has been appointed and accepted into the United States Military Academy at West Point. This high honor comes only by Presidential, Congressional or Senate recommendation. Only so many candidates are selected yearly from the 50 states and various territories. West Point remains the premier academy for building our Army leadership. The American Legion wishes Andrew great success in his future military endeavors.
