Transfer news LIVE!
Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool continue to make big moves in the summer transfer window as the start of the new Premier League season draws nearer. The Gunners kicked off a potentially a busy 24 hours by confirming the signing of Noni Madueke and an annoucement for Cristhian Mosquera is expected to follow shortly as they strive to strike a final agreement with Sporting for Viktor Gyokeres in addition to eyeing a move for Eberechi Eze.
It is third time lucky for Man United after their latest offer for Bryan Mbeumo was accepted by Brentford and a medical has subsequently been booked for the Cameroon international which is set to take place over the weekend. What this deal means for Yoane Wissa’s future remains to be seen amid links to Newcastle.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are looking to bolster their attack with a move for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike but they could yet land Alexander Isak who is reportedly keen on swapping St James’ Park for Anfield this summer. Liverpool are expected to wrap up a deal for Hugo Ekitike after an outline of an agreement was reached with Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Athletic reports that would represent a club-record sale for the German side, surpassing the €95million (£82.3m) Paris Saint-Germain spent on Randal Kolo Muani in 2023.
Newcastle failed with a €75million offer earlier this week before the Reds pounced. Then it was game over for the Magpies.
Frankfurt sign Ekitike €17.5m last summer after a six-month loan.
Liverpool will bid once more for Hugo Ekitike.
Sacha Tavolieri reports that the Reds will submit an offer of around €80million with €10m in add ons, which he believes will make it a done deal.

The Slovenian, according to GiveMeSport, does not care that United are not in European competition next term as he wants to leave RB Leipzig.
Nicolas Jackson and Ollie Watkins are also on United’s radar.
Daniel Farke has confirmed that Patrick Bamford is not in his plans for the coming Premier League season, meaning the former England striker could be set to leave the club.
The Leeds boss told the Daily Mail: “He knows how much I rate him as a person. I thought it was my duty to be very honest with him. I got him in my office and told him that he’s not in my plans for the upcoming Premier League season.
“For me, Patrick is a player who needs to be the main man. He needs an arm around the shoulder after difficult years. He will score goals, he is a top player, but I was not willing to do this.
“He should not be a backup option. It is not a perfect situation. That is why we had this honest conversation.
“He is on a really good fitness level, has trained really well since our conversation. I think he liked the openness.”
Brighton’s Evan Ferguson is set to join Roma after the deal was given the ‘here we go’ stamp of approval by Fabrizio Romano.
He will join on a one-season loan with an option to buy for £34.6m.
The Irish striker had his pick of several clubs and opted to join the Giallorossi.
He has 13 League goals in 60 Brighton appearances, but failed to find the target as he spent the back half of last season on loan at West Ham.
Bayern Munich are prepared to make an improved bid for Liverpool’s Luis Diaz, according to TalkSport’s Ben Jacobs..
Their initial bid was immediately rejected, but they are prepared to try again amid reports Diaz is ready to leave Merseyside.
That first offer was worth £58.5m.
Ruben Amorim was pleased with Matheus Cunha’s debut today as United drew 0-0 with Leeds.
“We watched [Cunha] during last season in a different team, so we expect the same thing,” he continued.
“You can see the connection between him and Bruno [Fernandes] is still not there, but it’s going to be a good connection because you can put a player like Kobbie Mainoo there, Mason Mount there.
“We need to build that bond between everybody. There’s a lot to improve. The speed of our game, all the details. But we’ll get there.”

Eddie Howe left Alexander Isak out of the Newcastle squad for today’s friendly loss to Celtic as rumours continue to swirl surrounding his future.
Liverpool and Al Hilal are both among the clubs interested in his services.
Howe was effusive in his praise for the player, saying he is ‘desperate’ for the Swede to stay.
“I think it’s difficult for me to ever give 100 per cent clarity on any player, I’d never do that. All I can say is Alex is happy at Newcastle, he loves the players, the staff, the team.
“I’ve never had any issue with him and I’m confident he’s going to be here at the start of the season.
“We’re desperate to keep him as part of our team.”
