Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are among the clubs expected to make further big moves as the summer transfer window heats up. The Gunners officially unveiled Viktor Gyokeres over the weekend and are now said to have agreed personal terms with Eberechi Eze, while there has been some encouragement in their potential pursuit of Rodrygo. There could be also be more movement on the horizon at the Emirates with the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Reiss Nelson and Oleksandr Zinchenko tipped to depart.
Liverpool are believed to be preparing a likely British transfer record offer to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle and have reportedly agreed a six-year deal in principle with the Swedish striker. The sale of Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich, which was confirmed this week, will be used to boost the Reds’ attempts to complete such a move.
Manchester United have been handed a major boost in their attempts to sign a new striker, with RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko said to prefer a move to Old Trafford over St James’ Park. Nick Pope has emerged as a surprise goalkeeper target for the Red Devils alongside PSG’s Gianluigi Donnarumma, and midfielder Morten Hjulmand is also on the transfer wish list at Old Trafford. Chelsea have sold Joao Felix to Saudi side Al-Nassr as they seek to bolster their squad amid talks for Xavi Simons and links to Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers. Elsewhere, Tottenham must now look for a Morgan Gibbs-White alternative after the midfielder penned a new contract at Nottingham Forest. Aaron Ramsdale has been in Newcastle today undergoing a medical.
The 27-year-old reportedly flew in by private jet this afternoon, according to Sky Sports, as he prepares to sign a season-long loan deal with an option for a permanent move next summer.
Southampton will reportedly receive a hefty £4million loan fee.
It remains to be seen if Ramsdale will come in as No1 or complete with Nick Pope for a starting spot. Newcastle failed in a bid to sign long-term target James Trafford last week.
Jorrel Hato is set to fly in for a Chelsea medical after a deal worth £37million, plus add-ons, was agreed with Ajax.
Standard Sport understands that Hato will sign a seven-year contract to become Chelsea’s fourth summer signing. He will compete with Marc Cucurella at left-back
The two clubs have been in talks for a number of days, prompting Hato to be absent from Ajax’s squad for the Como Cup final on Sunday due to the risk of injury ahead of a potential move to Stamford Bridge.
Hato is considered one of the best prospects in Europe, matching Chelsea’s policy of signing young stars with bright futures, and has long been of interest to Arsenal.

RB Leipzig have set an asking price of €75million (£64.6m) plus add-ons for Benjamin Sesko.
The club also want a sell-on percentage included in any deal, according to The Athletic.
Leipzig are under no pressure to sell as Sesko still has four years to run on his contract, which he signed last year.
The report adds that there is a gentleman’s agreement that if an elite club — by his definition —bid between £69m to £78m, Leipzig would accept the offer.
Alexander Isak has flown to Spain to work with a personal trainer on his fitness as he waits to join Liverpool.
According to Spanish outlet AS, the Newcastle striker – who has skipped the club’s pre-season tour – continues to struggle with a thigh problem and is keen to be in strong shape for when the Reds come calling.
Isak has reportedly gone on strike to force a move, while Newcastle insist he is not for sale. Liverpool believe otherwise and Sky Sports report a fee of around £135million could be agreed upon.
Victor Osimhen has landed back in Turkey to join Galatasaray permanently.
After weeks and weeks of negotiations with Napoli, a deal was struck worth £64.7million, of which £34.5m is to be paid up front and the rest within 12 months.
Gala have their man after a successful loan spell. Despite his reputation, seemingly no European giant went in for Osimhen.
At the airport, Osimhen is quoted as saying: “I’m excited. I can’t explain how I am feeling, but I cam back in the place I love.”
Manchester United are advancing on a deal to sign Benjamin Sesko after “secret” talks in Germany.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, reporting for talkSPORT, United’s director of recruitment, Christopher Vivell, is leading the talks having joined Matt Hargreaves, director of football negotiations.
Newcastle are desperate to land Sesko as their current star striker, Alexander Isak, pushes to join Liverpool.
But United know they must act fast to land Sesko, despite Sky Germany’s reporting that the striker is set to become the sixth player to reject a move to Newcastle this summer as he favours a move to Old Trafford.
United, the report adds, will look to sell both Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho to help fund a move for Sesko, which is expected to cost more than £60m.
Chelsea have reached an agreement with Ajax over signing Jorrel Hato.
The Athletic reports that the agreement is subject to supervisory board approval before the defender flies out for a medical.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea will pay a fee in excess of £35million.
Hato is expected to sign a seven-year contract to become Chelsea’s eighth summer signing.
Another big signing for Chelsea, with Arsenal having held long interest.
Fulham have made an approach for Arsenal full-back Oleksandr Zinchenko, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
Arsenal are reportedly open to offers in the region of £15m. AC Milan are also interested in his services.
The player joined Arsenal from Man City in a £30m deal in 2022, scoring three times in 91 appearances since.
He is expected to serve as a depth option for Arteta this season, and could jump ship in favour of more consistent first-team minutes.
It comes as the Cottagers near a potential agreement to bring fellow Arsenal man Reiss Nelson back to west London following last season’s loan.
Crystal Palace have rejected a bid from Atalanta for Jean-Phillippe Mateta.
BBC Sport report that the offer was worth more than £30m.
The Serie A side are looking for a replacement for Mateo Retegui, who was the league’s top scorer last season before moving to Saudi Pro League club Al-Qadsiah in a deal worth £56m.
It remains to be seen if Palace would entertain Mateta’s sale, and continue to face uncertainly over Eberechi Eze’s future.
Atalanta, the BBC report, could turn to Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz as a replacement.
Gyokeres also says it was an “easy choice” to take Thierry Henry’s famous No14 shirt at Arsenal, but insists he wants to avoid comparisons with the Gunners legend.
The 27-year-old’s “conviction” in deciding to inherit the shirt number of the club’s legendary record goal-scorer has already been praised by Gunners boss Mikel Arteta, and Gyokeres has now addressed the eye-catching move himself.
“It’s not really my intention to be compared with what [Henry] has achieved in his career, especially here,” the Swedish striker said.
“I just want to do my own thing and show my qualities. Of course, he was an amazing player, but different from me.”
