The United South Central/Alden-Conger track teams were in Blooming Prairie on Tuesday, April 22, to compete in the eight-team Blooming Prairie Invitational.
Boys Results
Loyola-Cleveland was the winner for the boys with 140 points. The runner-up was Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton with 123.5 points, USC/A-C came in third with 110, Waterville Elysian-Morristown was fourth with 89, St. Clair/Immanuel Lutheran was fifth with 83, Blooming Prairie was sixth with 73, New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva was seventh with 43.5 and Medford was eighth with 33.
USC/A-C excelled in the hurdles where they captured the top two spots in the 110-meter hurdles and two of the top three spots in the 300-meter hurdles.
Isaac Hartman finished first in the 110-meter hurdles with a personal-record time of 17.18. Teammate Jayden Barnick was second with a personal-best time of 17.52.
In the 300-meter hurdles, Hartman finished in second place with a personal-record time of 45.12. The Rebels’ Jace Ignaszewski came in third with a time of 45.47.
The 4×100-meter relay team of Caleb Whiteside, Gavin Bird, Alexis Arguijo and Angel Dejusus ran to a third-place finish in 48.23.
Whiteside, Bird, Joseph Ridler and Jaiden Aranda placed fourth in the 4×200-meter relay with a time of 1:48.60.
In the 4×400-meter relay, Shaune Peterson, Barnick, Maxwell Schull and Brant Blosser finished in second place when they crossed the finish line in 3:52.45.
The 4×800-meter relay team consisting of Skyler Sandsmark, Riley Krohnberg, Aiden Edwards and Samuel Treptow had a time of 10:20.40 to finish in fifth place.
Schull ran the 400-meter dash in 56.45 to finish in fourth place.
Laiken Farris finished in sixth place in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5:29.57.
Maddex Niebuhr was fifth in the shot put with a toss of 41-0.5.
A throw by Ezra Edwards that traveled 115-4 in the discus was good for a fifth-place finish.
Barnick placed first in the high jump when he cleared the bar at a height of 6-0.
Joshua Brooks was third in the pole vault with a mark of 10-0.
Angel Dejusus had a leap of 19-6 in the long jump to finish in first place while Hartman was the top performer in the triple jump with a distance of 37-7.
Girls Results
Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton finished on top for the girls with 149 points while St. Clair/Immanuel Lutheran was second with 110. Loyola-Cleveland was third with 107, Blooming Prairie was fourth with 92.5, New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva was fifth with 82.5, Waterville-Elysian-Morristown was sixth with 79, USC/A-C was seventh with 46 and Medford was eighth with 19.
Danyelle Dickson had a time of 1:03.98 in the 400-meter dash to finish in second place. Dickson was sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.42.
Emma Johnson finished fifth in the 3200-meter run with a time of 18:18.75.
In the 100-meter hurdles, Madison Passer finished third in 18:32 and Chloe Bullerman was sixth in 18.71.
Bullerman had a fifth-place finish in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 53.35.
The 4×800-meter relay team of Alexis Guenther, Emma Johnson, Hailey Bjornstad and Hannah Warmka finished in sixth place in 12:50.18.
Jaelyn Stangler had a toss of 30-3 to finish in fourth place in the shot put.
Passer and Warmka tied for fifth place in the high jump. They each cleared the bar at a height of 4-6.
