Young guns star as Worcestershire return to winning ways – Malvern Gazette, UK

WORCESTERSHIRE Rapids returned to winning ways against Durham, thanks to brilliant cameos from young guns Isaac Mohammed and Ethan Brookes.
Durham struggled to a score of 156, with only Will Rhodes able to trouble the Rapids attack with a score of 58 not out.
With skipper Brett D’Oliveira still missing through injury and Ed Pollock rotated, Kashif Ali was welcomed back into the fold, while Isaac Mohammed was handed his debut.
Electing to bowl first after winning the toss, overseas talent Jacob Duffy and Ben Dwarshuis started strong, reducing Durham to 37-2.
After Dwarshuis’ dismissal of Ollie Robinson for one, Alex Lees run of 28 off 24 was brought to an end as the Australian caught his knock from an Ethan Brookes delivery, leaving the visitors at 65-3 at the halfway point of their innings.
Mohammed went on to take a straightforward catch from Colin Ackerman, before Durham’s fifth wicket fell with their score on 100.
A 41-run partnership between Will Rhodes and Ben Raine was ended when Waite removed Raine in the 19th over.

With the bat, Mohammed blasted Matthew Potts’ first over for 19 and continued in similar form until his cameo was ended by Neesham for 32 off 15 deliveries.
Kashif Ali joined Jake Libby to continue the strong start, adding 48 for the second wicket before falling in successive overs, leaving Rapids 89-3 in the 12th over.
Adam Hose was joined by Brookes, raising the home side to 100 with six overs still to go.
Brookes continued the pressure, blasting Potts for 21 off his second over, before falling for 51 from 24 balls.
With two required for victory, Rapids took the six-wicket win in the 18th over.
