Toss update, IND vs AUS Boxing Day Test: Hosts Australia won the toss and opted to bat in the Boxing Day Test against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Thursday (26 December).
IND vs AUS Boxing Day Test LIVE Score Today: Australia posted a total of 112/1 at lunch on Day 1 of the Boxing Day Test against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Thursday. Test debutant Sam Konstas impressed with a 65-ball 60 before being dismissed by Ravindra Jadeja in the 20th over. Usman Khawaja (38*) and Marnus Labuschagne (12*) were the unbeaten batter for Australia.
India skipper Rohit Sharma confirmed that he would be returning to the top-order as far as the batting lineup is concerned. Rohit also confirmed one change to the playing XI, with Shubman Gill missing out and Washington Sundar coming in.
As far as Australia are concerned, Sam Konstas coming in for Nathan McSweeney and Scott Boland returning for the injured Josh Hazlewood were the changes to their playing XI from the third Test in Brisbane. The five-match Test series is level 1-1 after three Tests. While India won the first Test in Perth by 295 runs, Australia clinched the second Test in Adelaide by 10 wickets. The third Test in Brisbane ended in a draw amid multiple rain interruptions.
